Take The Wheel RC began in 2026 as a small Earth Day elementary school project with my two sons. What started as a simple idea—upcycling recyclable materials and repurposing items destined for the landfill, combined with our love for dioramas and remote-controlled cars—quickly grew into something much bigger: a business built around creativity, sustainability, and fun.

Today, approximately 90% of the materials used in our rock crawler tracks and terrain are recycled or repurposed items. Once we discovered how much excitement and imagination could come from “random junk,” we knew we wanted to share that experience with others and make our custom tracks accessible to everyone.

After countless hours of designing, testing, racing, and refining courses to accommodate 1:30 scale and 1:24 scale RC crawlers, we developed a way to transform our large-scale indoor crawler courses into smaller, highly detailed rock crawling lines that deliver the same adventure and challenge in a compact mobile format.

To top it all off, we wanted to create a space where drivers could unwind after tackling steep climbs and treacherous bridge crossings. That idea led to the creation of our free-for-all monster truck stunt pit and a customizable high-speed raceway built for fast laps and nonstop action.

Building the raceway quickly became one of our favorite parts of the project, and discovering 1:76 scale race cars turned out to be the perfect way to bring even more excitement and movement to the experience. Whether it’s technical rock crawling, freestyle monster truck fun, or head-to-head racing, we’re always looking for new ways to keep the creativity—and the action—rolling!
